Superfoil Insulation
Superfoil is a multi-layer reflective insulation built around aluminium foil, insulating wadding, and trapped air gaps. The reflective surfaces bounce radiant heat back, while the wadding and air pockets slow conduction and convection. It also doubles as a vapour control layer, which simplifies the build-up on lofts and timber-frame walls.
We fit Superfoil in pitched roofs (between rafters or under battens), in stud walls and timber-frame builds, in cold lofts, and on suspended floors. Garden rooms and outbuildings benefit from it especially because it adds real performance without taking up much depth. It works on its own and pairs neatly with mineral wool or PIR where you need a higher overall U-value.
Because it's thin, Superfoil is the right call when you can't lose room height or rafter depth to a thick fibre layer. The integrated vapour control means you don't need a separate VCL membrane, which keeps the install tidy and removes one of the common ways condensation gets into a build-up.
We start with a free survey to look at the structure, the depth available, and what you're trying to achieve. From there we agree the right Superfoil specification, write you a fixed price, and book the install. Cost depends on area, access, and whether it's being fitted on its own or combined with other insulation.
